Stadt Erlangen — Kurt Eisner
The mural was selected for creation at the primary plaza in the Bavarian city of Erlangen, honouring an understated yet historically significant figure. Kurt Eisner was a journalist, a true pacifist and the one who brought the Bavarian monarchy to an end and introduced democracy to the new Bavarian state. The composition features a Bavarian lion as a metaphor for dismantling the monarchy, positioned before a serene portrait of Eisner flanked by symbolic elements representing his contributions to history and politics.
